Saint Antony's College Softbridge Project
The Softbridge building is an exciting new building for the Middle East Centre at St Antony's College.
The building has been designed by the world-renowned architect, Zaha Hadid, and represents a significant addition to the architecture of Oxford. Dubbed the name ‘The Softbridge’ is because of its design, the new construction will be known on completion as The Investcorp Building. The three-storey Softbridge building will form a suspended ‘bridge’ between numbers 66 and 68 Woodstock Road and provides 1,200 square metres of floor-space.
In addition to housing the Library and Archive, the Softbridge building includes a beautifully designed 125 seat lecture theatre and provides much needed space for public events, such as book launches and receptions.
